I would really love to know how he used his pivot to apply the seed! I would absolutely LOVE to do that, but I'm afraid the seed would settle and you'd have a pipe full of seed. But I can see how the manure nozzles might work.

I think you'd almost need to have the nozzles plumbed into the bottom of the pipe, because once you get out to the end of the pipe the water really isn't moving that fast anymore, and the seed would just be sliding across the bottom of the pipe.

In Nebraska you really couldn't rely on rainfall to sprout your cover crops, so you'd only do irrigated anyhow. I would be sowing my rye right now through the pivot and could have some incredible grazing this fall.....cornstalks with rye!
