SW Ohio | Had a kid that worked for us back in the expansion days of the dairy, swore my Dad killed off the Indians and poured concrete over them, a little bit at a time. Mostly I remember him calculating down to the tenth of a yard how much it would take for a certain pour, and then nailing the forms together as the truck rolled in the driveway, and said forms blowing out and we ran short, chuck some rocks in there to make up for the lost volume. Some of the old barnyard is over fifty years old and yes it is cracked all over but no piece has moved more than 1/2" out of kilter. | |
