Dad poured concrete 35 years ago-I know because I was the guy shoveling the hand mixer full-we poured it 4 inchs thick-a good day was 100 bags of concrete-or 20 yards-it was 3 scoops of ash,9 scoops of gravel-1 bag was 3 mixer loads-or 5 bag mix they called it-I USE TO BE ABLE TO CARRY TWO BAGS OF PORTLAND ASH-AT ONCE
Now we pour 10 yards in 10 minutes
Anyhow -I would have to write a book-was a interestin time pouring concrete with my Dad and brothers!
We are fixing problems here-but equipment weighs more now-and my Dad used all the labor he had on hand
