Texas/New Mexico Stateline | Sitting here looking through the plastic shields. I had Lasik this morning, wife had it about 6 weeks ago. Price we thought was reasonable, and we had saved long enough. Also figured we ought to have a good 15 years to enjoy it before having to use reading glasses. And a team moved into our area that branched out from a larger city. Decided it was a sign.
Worst part was when they put that 20lb dumbbell on your eye while cutting the flap. (at least that is what it feels like.) Was in and out in a little over an hour. I have to go back this afternoon for the followup. Sleep with the covers on my eyes for 3 nights.
Two Tylenol helped a lot with the irritation I'm experiencing.
My wife's vision was horrible. Couldn't make out the "E" at the top of the chart. Mine wasn't really that bad, which was frustrating because I could almost function without glasses. So close and yet so far......
Been wearing glasses since 10 so will be quite a change. (35 yr. old now) It will feel good dropping our glasses in the Lion's Club donation box.
