N.W. Ohio | I live very near Defiance, and you are correct in your assessment, except sometimes it is only 2 rows of good corn above the tile! Many thousands of acres are prevent plant in this area. And not all is insured PP, a friend of mine has 100 acres unplanted and doesn't carry crop insurance. We took PP on 3 fields, never in my nearly 40 years of farming have we not been able to get all the crop planted. A pretty tuff year here. | |
