It's better, we used a coulter style system for side dress late last year. I was not happy with availability using that system. We also had some corn borer issues that held us back. That being said, the vast majority of corn in our area doesn't look anywhere close to last year. Too much water early, no replacement N, lot of skipped fungicide acres.
