Not sure if it applied to your jug of chemical,,, but, when I was in the chemical/seed/fertilizer business we gave better prices on large quantities vs a single jug.  I mean it takes almost as long to make a 2.5 gallon sale and load it as it does to sell and load a pallet (240 gallons).
