ecmn | Ok, with all the talk of tip back on here lately I'm confused by all the talk of guys that want to see it. Now I like a little tip back also but what guys are calling tip back I call pull back. I like a non pollinated 3/4" tip (tip back) on an ear but if there are little dead kernels that bugs the crap out of me. Those were pollinated and using energy for a while and quit. I have an investment in those kernels so I want to know why did they disappear. From my experience dry weather that causes a lack of nutrient uptake or a shortage of K is the biggest reasons. I do NOT want to see pull back. If you have these pollinated dead kernels you are giving up yield that you had at one point, I want them in the hopper! | |
