Subject: Can we define tip back please

Ok, with all the talk of tip back on here lately I'm confused by all the talk of guys that want to see it. Now I like a little tip back also but what guys are calling tip back I call pull back. I like a non pollinated 3/4" tip (tip back) on an ear but if there are little dead kernels that bugs the crap out of me. Those were pollinated and using energy for a while and quit. I have an investment in those kernels so I want to know why did they disappear. From my experience dry weather that causes a lack of nutrient uptake or a shortage of K is the biggest reasons. I do NOT want to see pull back. If you have these pollinated dead kernels you are giving up yield that you had at one point, I want them in the hopper!
