Nice looking crop. 


Wheat is ready to combine "here" also, but straw is tough also.  First field yesterday.  Quality is good, high bushel wt and next to zero on the vom.  Srww is the crop of choice in this area.  20 percent hrww and 2 percent white.  I can remember when it was 100 percent white.  There is a decent premium hrww so many guys thinking about it for next year. 

White wheat has become tricky as mills are so fussy.  The  last time we grew it, there was a genetic mutation where the odd kernal was red so got downgraded to feed for mixed classes of wheat.  Grew from certified seed.  To heck with that. 


We are 2 hours north of Lucan.
