EC Nebraska | I only grew oats last year, so this might have been all beginners luck, but I planted about 40 lbs of seed, spread 50 # of N and 15 # of S, and straight cut 125 bushel of 34 lbs oats.
Fungicide would have helped for sure. This is on high-K test ground that has had some decent micro-nutrient programs in the last few years, but nothing applied the year of the oats.
Cool weather and adequate moisture during grain fill will be the most important factor if you've got fungicide on.
