Getting ready for a new bin and had the local REA guy down to look about putting in a new pole and transformer. While we were conversing he asks if the flags were the spot where bin was gonna be and I answered yes. He then proceeds to tell me it would be to close to the line and would have to be so many feet from line. Some new law/rule or whatever, tried to lay it off on a law(OSHA maybe). Said that if it was gonna have a grain leg then it could be much closer to the lines. So I ask him "now where did you say your easement starts and stops?". He proceeds to go to the truck and get a wheel and measure it off. Low and behold if he puts in a taller pole it will just barely make it. Said I was prolly gonna have a grain leg anyway, smirked a little, and left. This is in Missouri, anybody hear of such?
