Subject: Bin run corn as cover crop

Indiana
Had an older neighbor stop by today and say he wants to try bin run corn as a cover crop, and wanted to know if I thought it would work or not? His plan is to broadcast 4 bu per acre over a 70 acre field after beans. His main reason is to control erosion. I told him I didnt know if it would work or not, but worth a shot. It would be cheaper than some other cover crops but not sure if it will benefit that much, anybody ever try it?

thanks
