southern MN | If your contract gives a range until August 15th, I think they have until then to take the wheat. After that date, storage or penalty costs may kick in and I would be concerned.
This doesn't seem a big deal to me, I don't see how you are being harmed. Delivery has a range, and it appears they will accommodate you in that range. You have the wheat harvested and stored nicely, so its not putting you out any or affecting the grain negatively.
I've never delivered to an ethanol plant, but I belive it can be a challenge to so so from those around me; you have a contract you need to deliver by, but they only have 4 days worth of storage so you and everone else has to deliver that months worth of corn when there is room in their small storage. You get allocated out week by week on when to deliver, more or less, throw in holidays the plant is running but the delivery is not and it gets goofy sometimes?
Just how contracts and business is done?
