Subject: Wintertime Rye grazing

Northwest Arkansas
When a lot of you guys are talking about rye grazing in the winter are you talking cereal or annual rye. What would 10ac of rye well fertilized do for 18 head of 1 and 2 stage cows? I guess my question is, is it worth my time to put it In and strip graze it this winter of am I just all wrong here? With the amount of over mature hay I have baled due to the rain I am looking for something to help my cows along. I am going to try this on one farm this year if it's worth it and will expand to other farms next year.
