Subject: RE: weed spraying after wheat harvest?

We run a Shelbourne header and it strips about the top half of some of the bigger plants but leaves the rest somewhat untouched down in the bottom. It really depends on the year here and what is out there. We have a few fields we have already cut that we sprayed the day after harvest because it was big resistant stuff and we like to use paraquat on that. The upper canopy had been stripped and the lower part was still fine so I thought while the weed was thinner we would get better coverage the faster we went. We have a few fields though that we will wait a few days on. I HATE letting stubble get weedy especially with Kochia so I don't like to mess around with it.
