Subject: weed spraying after wheat harvest?

South Central Kansas, Harper County
Always wondered how long other guys wait until spraying weeds after wheat harvest, in a notil environment? Several fields had quite a bit of marestail in the thin wheat this year, so I really want them to "heal" up, and start taking nutrients in, before applying chemical control. Seems like I always used a week, kind of as a rule of thumb. Sometimes wait longer to get more weeds sprouted, but with so much of my wheat thin this year, the weeds had a pretty good head start.
