Heart of Illinois | Anyone know how much N a 109 day hybrid can still uptake if it's applied at almost tassel? I side dress with a Hagie and have 100 lbs of fall applied nh3 and some MAP. Was planning to come back with 70 units of 32%, but this last 100 acres has been wet since we sprayed it. I'm thinking that it could probably use more than the 70 units I planned on now, but not sure if there's enough time left for the corn to take in even that much (if I can even get on it). Anybody know if I should start dialing back my rate? Also- is there any point in side dressing (slowly and carefully) after tassel? | |
