Central Nebraska
Depends a lot on your insurance company and the adjuster you get. Usually they try to lay a leaf out and see what percent of it is left and then round down (65% left will become 50%). I have production hail coverage and here I get paid on actual bushels lost from 115% of APH, down to the % of loss that the adjuster found. If there is a large difference (yielded much less than the percent of loss) they will often amend their summer inspection to account for things like bruises and stalk breakage. Hail adjusting is more an art than a science.Who you get makes a lot of difference.
