Subject: Hail damage in corn

Have had three hail storms in the last three days. Wondering a few things about leaf damage in corn. First is how much damage is done to a leaf when the mid-rib is broken? Second is do leaves that are twisted up-side down collect sunlight for the photosynthesis process? Third, do shredded leaves hanging straight down collect sunlight as efficiently as non-damaged leaves.

Then I'm wondering how it works when you take a hail claim to harvest?
