The problem most of these guys aren't realizing is how little un-tilled stalks break down over winter in northern SD and ND. There is a big difference between where I am and Sioux Falls in that respect. There's not many shank machines made that are going to go through untouched stalks the next spring and not leave beaver huts unless it is hot and dry when you are doing it. A chopping head will help, but not all the time.
