have a 2 year old sunflower 6333 field finisher i usually shred the cornstalks and disk it under first thing in the spring let it rain on it ... then come back 3 inches with the field finisher and plant works perfect.. levels the field perfect... you could just disk and then field finisher and not shred the trash that is if you have a good heavy disk... i just choose to shred first .. Would the Sunflower work in un disked stalks? 100 bushel dryland stalks probaly but anything irrigated in the 150-200-250 range no way have to disk first... Flail shredding and then field finishing could work to just havent attempted it yet..
