We have a JD 726 soil finisher. I have used it in our corn stalks that the cows are on over the winter. It works alright, drop the disks all the way in if your gonna do it. The Disc is better though, as said previously chopping would probably help. I will add a picture of what it looks like on soybean stubble which also had a thick cover of dry manure. I don't think I have any pictures of running in corn stalks.
