By the way, Microsoft said that Windows 10 will be free even for people running non-genuine versions of Windows 7 and 8.1, but they also said it won't be free, suggesting that they may allow an upgrade to a non-genuine version of Windows 10, maybe one for which you'll need a paying license after one year or something. Their message is very confusing, reporters are still trying to figure it out.
