It is devastating in the areas it is in. Iowa has lost about 1/2 of it's laying hens so far, but only 11% on a national level. The turkey's have been hit hard as well. I've been getting regular email updates on it for 60 days. After a while, the numbers are so large they are numbing. Its hard to put 40 million birds in perspective.
