what did I read the other day.....your part of the world has seen growing season lengthen by two weeks in last 40-50 years??

corn production in ND has increased 4-5X since mid 90's

Yeah...... I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I have no idea where those extra two weeks are. Spring of 2009 all I heard from the older generations was that that was the worst spring since 1952. Since 2009 we've had 2010 which wasn't quite as bad as '09, '11 which was again equally late, '12 was very early but fall came early too, '13 was as bad as '09 and '14 was ridiculous cold.

I'm not complaining, our cool summers have given us very good crops on the the acres we have gotten planted, but I don't think ND has had record PP acres the last while because our growing season is getting longer. There's growth in ND corn and soybean acres because of technology.
