SE Nebraska | We also have 20+ of the 60W Cree LED bulbs. Had them for over a year now. Just recently started having problems with one that would intermittently turn off for about 15 minutes. Then it would turn back on and was fine. I haven't yet, but I am going to return it to HD for exchange. Ours are all the old style with the glass globe. I see they changed the design now, and have less LED's and a plastic top. Also the inside is a simpler design with two circuit boards nested together to make an X instead of the "light tower" that was more labor intensive to manufacture. The new ones also don't have the finned heat sink. They also only have a 3-year warranty vs the 10 year on the old ones. My HD has some 4 packs of the old style still around, so I got some spares with the longer warranty.
Edit: The new style ones are also 11W instead of 9.5W, but you do get 15 more lumens out of them.
