It has been our experience here in KY that we only can let the grass grow for about 5 years in a waterway with perforated tile before the grass roots will completely stop up the tile line. We aren't laying anymore tile, but if we do we will use solid tile anytime we are crossing a waterway so we eliminate having to kill and reseed the grass.
