I have some drainage waterways in a couple fields that after many years of draining lots of water have begun to fill in. It's been suggested to me that tiling would should be considered at this point. The fields don't really have a standing water problem.
I'm a newbie at this, so don't flame me if this is a stupid question, but if my renter and I would institute cover cropping on the fields, is there a chance the covers would mitigate the drainage off the fields and eliminate the need for tile?
