I was losing a lot of calves through February when it was really cold out and vet said go to 3times a day of 4pints per feeding and do it until it gets over 60. Which could be July if weather doesn't straighten up! The guy I buy my calves from feeds his heifers twice a day of 6 pints per feeding all year. He said he likes how they grow better.
