Iowa has CSR2 now, which, depending on the county I feel has gotten at least slightly more accurate. It's an updated version that uses the calculations differently. 

Other states have the NCCPI (national commodity crop productivity index) which I've seen to be fairly accurate to wildly inaccurate.
