Subject: Crop rotation for Garden?

We are getting ready to move into a new house in town. Now we are planning what will be sodded and where we will have plantings.

I am thinking of planting some strips of soybeans so they become a hedge type material. Something green, and quite frankly, I like the way soybeans look!

So then I got to thinking, why not plant some garden space with soybeans every other year, and get the ground cleaned up really nice, then follow it with garden vegetables? Maybe locate three or four strips around the yard. Nothing too huge, we aren't looking to sell vegetables or anything like that.

Does this make any sense?
