I know of a farmer who got an overweight ticket on the I69, supposedly the 88,000 lbs rule doesn't apply on an interstate and it goes back to 80K. I think a lot of these rules is up to the officer, seems everyone has an opinion. i never heard about a weight exception. Just over width. Even here in Illinois we have to abide by weight at 80,000# even ag equipment over 80,000 gross we have to permit but not over width. Indiana I've always treated the same way. |
