No kidding! Ours was printed in 1981 and I got one of the first copies as I was looking at which farm to buy and needed some soils guidance. The local soil conservation guy proudly told me he had mapped much of our county as a college intern and was now proud to be able to work in the same county. He was a really nice guy, too bad everything he told me about my soils over all those years turned out to be wrong.

Luckily my farm turned into a great spot after some drainage improvement, which was my idea he said would never work. If I HAD taken his advice, I would have bought a swamp with perpetual goose damage. He was a goose hunter by the way...
