Subject: RE: Update on bull and Johne’s disease question

As someone said below, no one would mistake this for something they would want to take home. I have wondered about Puff style cows and even commented that I would be afraid to purchase that way. My cattle get all vitamins and shots that vet recommends. If they have bad attitude or do poorly I will put wheels under them. This does not mean they have some catastrophic issue just that I don't have enough time to nurse every animal to perfect health. All I can remember doing this to in past were probably past 10 as I do not cull for age only condition and attitude. Now that I think I have a potential problem, I will test and if it turns out that I know something is wrong I'll make sure barn knows what I know. All I have read says they are still good for slaughter until stage 3 and maybe then. I would not sell a known problem without alerting a potential buyer but have no problem selling an old or lower conditioned cow. There are many on here that seem to make a good living buying them.
