Walnut Grove MN USA
Generally here we plant somewhere in the neighbor hood of 150,000. Using a drill in narrow rows my increase a little, using a planter in 15 or 30 inch rows may drop down to 120,000. Years ago we used to drill at about 240,000 but seed was a lot cheaper then and white mold became an issue. General rule is you want 100,000 live plants to get maximum yield but soybeans do an incredible job of compensating.
