doesn't do you much good when the printer dies before it needs new ink anyways, then again buying one set of ink cartridges can be nearly half the price of a new printer sometimes. 

Between the house, shop and barn we were going through sub $200 HP all in ones like nothing every 6 months-year. The barn one prints a ton of stuff daily, shop one does the least.

Tried some other brands and can't say if they were much better.

I do have a canon pixall or whatever its called at my house that we used mostly for printing pictures and it's worked great. Not fast, but for that job it doesn't need to be really.
