Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa | Non GMO foods will remain an emerging topic for years for the health conscious consumer that wants to become a complete purist, the grass fed market does not however look at non GMO as there driving force, rather there efforts are to get the level of omega 3 to omega 6 fats back closer to a 1 to 1 basis in the human diet, that being said, "and this is coming from a guy that will feed out a pen of calves this year on a corn silage-- corn finish--- based ration " I am considering just what you are saying, on a small level, the way I look at it, I am being asked occasionally about grass finished and hormone free beef so why not cover all the basis and be GMO free as well, don't think it would be that hard on a grass fed basis, they will have to pay a huge premium to get this product from our operation but why not give people what they want if it's healthy. |
