The numbers I learned 53 yrs ago in Ag shop class were...."25 & 5". They seem to work on every acetylene torch I've had. For brazing, it was "5 & 5".

Also, only open acetylene tank knob about 1/4 turn. That'll supply enough flow for the 5# setting & allows quick shut-off in case of emergency of some type.
