While not into the bagging thoughts.  I have re-hydrated hay, wheat straw ect with corn syrup/thinning. Would think the snow would do the same and if oxygen removed it would ferment like silage over time.  Addition of by products would help the nutrition.  Would be a good experiment.  Got to remove oxygen to avoid molding issues.
