Subject: RE: anybody bagging stalks

Friday was working great to chop stalks with the snow. We had about 3 inchs. The snow made it easy to rake and the pickup on the chopper worked better. I think the snow made the stalks stick together and feed in better. Mixed it with WDG and am packing in a bunker. The chopper was alittle froze up this morning but nothing to serious. I would guess that there was enough moisture to maybe make the stalks ensile on their own, but I think you would not have enough sugar to make it work without adding something. The picture is from last year. Alot drier.
