I think yield variability also comes into play. Two areas in a field may have the same long-term average, for example. But one area might be very consistent, while the other (a low spot) might shine in a dry year and drown out in a wet year.
So, getting to the basics, what other attributes besides yield average and yield variability? Irrigated versus dryland, obviously. What else? | |
