In my family, there was always a legend about butchering the skunks, and rendering the fat down to a lard-like condition. Was supposed to be good to rub on one's chest ala Vicks Vaporub, in the event of a cold, or other chest congestion.
Since you have skunks, you might want to give it a try. Who knows? It might turn into a merchandisable product. (snickering) showboat
