+1 just buy a new 8.1 pc desktop and add your old main HDD as a 2nd drive in the new box. An IDE drive (ribbon cable connector) has a modern SATA adapter that plugs right into the new SATA motherboard.
Trying to make an old XP machine work with 10 years of compatibility patches plus it's gonna choke on any hi res video on the internet is not worth the labor
