NC Iowa | thanks von, I have one of those sata to usb adapters like that. I will try that. if it works, I will still have the emails, just that they will be in a separate location from the live mail folders.
I never heard of thunderbird. I will look into it as I was used to outlook and I liked it. I am not liking live mail so far. the files are hidden and very hard to find. then they have numbers instead of regular names, so I am not sure I could import to them anyway without messing something up.
edit: von, how did you use the red cable? does it plug into the jumper setting pins? if not, did you have the change the jumpers.
