Hi Paul, Yes it really sucks in some places. I have one young struggling friend with corn in the field and there is no where to put it. I watched NE Ohio and NW Pa struggle from planting to harvest. I watched the same thing here but we had just enough heat to get by. Neither one makes up for low prices. The answer to your question varies so much from farm to farm and farmer to farmer I don't know what is best for you. I know you had way too much water and not near enough heat so you might consider producing the 2015 crop with the least nutrients possible. Nutrients weren't your problem this year, water and heat was. Pesticides are my best buy so weed control is number one. Plant establishment is extremely important so drills and row units are job 1. We are both due for a better year next year, I just don't know if we will get one. https://www.google.com/#q=hymark+blogspot+low+cost+farming You can make profitable decisions, Paul. Ed
