I never fertilized beans at all until 4 years ago and all they get now is 5 gal of starter. Wnen it rains we will have 50-60 bu beans and 30-45 bu double crop beans. No one around here fertilizes beans unless they are irriegated.
If we don't get timely rains, beans will make 5 to 20 bu.
