I know what he meant when he posted it, but it can be rather confusing to some because in scientific terms a bushel is a measurement of volume, but we buy and sell it by weight.
Higher test weight will always yield you more profit in the end. Example
If you have 2 fields, each being 300 ac and both yielding 100 bu/ac (5600 lbs/ac), but one had 54 TW and the other had 60 TW. The 60 TW is more profitable because it takes up less on farm storage and requires less trips to haul it to town. | |
