Subject: btw.. Soybean frost damage in SC Ks..


btw I think I saw some damage from this weekend all the way down here.. county over to my east.. on a dryland soybean field.. It looked like a Christmas tree.. losing it's leaves on the top 1/3 of the plant.. the bottom 2/3rd's were fine.. but it gradually tapered to the top.. with almost nothing but the stalk.. an inverted cone.. at the top.

Was visiting with a friend tonight about it.. he said he saw the same thing a county to our north...  Granted not a big percentage of the crop here.. but golly just the fact that it did it.. this far south...

checked d/c again tonight.. bottom pods are just starting to swell.. COME ON BABY...3 or 4 more weeks to go...  Didn't see any corn harvesting going on today.. but not out that much.. nothing coming into elevator when I was there. 

Dryland is mostly done.. irrigated too wet..
