Osakis, MN
It's obvious to anybody who has ever lived and been through valleys on a cool night that the temp can be way cooler in the low areas. I can see several fields around here that really took it in the shorts bad as far as frost goes! I'd go as far as the say it froze pretty good in some of the areas I've been through in the last couple days. Lots of fields have a defined frost elevation line around the hills and through all the low lying areas. There is no doubt while driving around today which fields got the cold air, lots of light grey corn leaves and frosted beans in this part of Central MN. There were also some fields that hardly had any frost. We were very, very close to a widespread disaster across a huge area I feel, like one or two degrees away from it. That's too close.
