McLeod County, MN

Here is Van Trump's report of the frost along with their map.

Weather this past weekend is being viewed by most in the trade as a NON-Event! The coldest temps appeared to stay well West of the main growing regions, with a few sub-28 readings coming in the far western parts of North and South Dakota. The majority of the lows remained above the 32 degree mark, meaning there was no significant freeze or frost damage to corn or soybeans. Looking forward, things look as if they will warm back up, although they will remain below normal for most of the Midwest over the next 2 to 3 days. As of right now, there doesn't appear to be any major threats of a wide-spread crop killing freeze through the first week of October. There's not a lot of moisture on the radar for this week either, which means harvest should be able to gain some traction. The most significant rainfall looks to be for the Upper Midwest later in the week. Lets keep our eye on Hurricane Odile, which is brewing in the eastern Pacific. There is some talk it could start to deliver some significant moisture across parts of the Southwest. It’s not clear yet how intense the rainfall will be or how far inland the tropical moisture will fall, so keep your eye on the forecasts.

The lows here got to around 36, yet there is damage in every single field.  Not as bad as they had to the southwest, but some damage none the less. I have no interest in killing the crop cause I am short soybeans, but there seems to be more damage than these guys want to admit.
